NYC alternate side parking map

When is your street swept next?

Use your location, type an address, or zoom in and tap a curb.

Later

Each curb is its own line, drawn between the street cleaning signs on that side of the block. The two sides of a street are usually cleaned on different days.

The calendar is the key: red today, yellow tomorrow, green in two or three days, blue later this week, gray after that. Tap a day to see only the curbs cleaned that day.

Suspensions are built in. Days NYC DOT suspends alternate side parking are skipped, so the next date shown is the next one that counts.

Data: NYC DOT parking regulation signs, read October 30, 2026. 52,274 of 58,867 block sides are on the map; a side with a single sign has no line to draw, and its schedule is on its street's page. Suspensions: NYC DOT ASP calendar.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find out when my street is cleaned in New York?

Open the map, tap Locate while you stand by your car, and read the color and the schedule for your side of the street. You can also type an address or tap any curb. Schedules come from the street cleaning signs in NYC DOT’s sign data.

Why does the other side of my street have a different day?

That is what alternate side parking means: each side of a block is cleaned on its own days, so cars can park on one side while the other is swept.

Is alternate side parking suspended today?

The map skips every suspension on NYC DOT's 2026 calendar. For today's status and the full list, see /new-york/alternate-side-parking on this site. DOT can also suspend ASP for weather or emergencies on short notice; NYC 311 posts those.

Can I trust the map over the sign?

No. The sign posted at the curb is the rule. The map reads NYC DOT’s record of those signs, which can lag a new or changed sign.
