About SweepBeep
SweepBeep started as a tool for one household with one shared car in San Francisco that wanted to stop getting street cleaning tickets. The public pages are the same data that tool uses: the city's published street sweeping schedule, organized by street, block and side.
Where the schedules come from
Every schedule on this site comes from the San Francisco Public Works street sweeping dataset on DataSF. We download it, check that every row parses, and publish it unchanged except for formatting. Next-sweep dates apply the SFMTA holiday enforcement schedule. We do not add, guess or edit schedules. If the city's data is wrong, our page is wrong in the same way, so the sign on the street is always the final word.
Who runs it
Pages are published by the SweepBeep Editorial Team rather than a named individual. Read the editorial policy for how pages are built and corrected.
Not affiliated with the city
SweepBeep is independent. It is not run by or affiliated with the City and County of San Francisco, SF Public Works or the SFMTA.
How the site makes money
It does not yet. There are no ads or affiliate links. We plan to charge for car-aware alerts once they work reliably.
